HISTORY AND GLOBAL IMPACT OF CAMEL MILK

dromedary is the best dairy

  •  There are two types of camels:   Dromedary (One Hump) and Bactrian (Two Humps).
  • Dromedary Camels originate from the Middle East

  • Bactrian Camels originate from parts of Mongolia and China

  • Our milk comes from Dromedary Camels (one hump)

Nomadic Desert Life

  • Camels have sustained nomads and bedouins for over a millienia during month long desert journey

  • Camels are some of the most sustainable creatures on the planet as they can handle freezing temperatures as well as over 100F degrees.

  • Lower environmental impact because camels survive with relatively little water and plant life for long periods of time therefore needing less grazing area

Global sustainability

  • In many cultures around the world, camels are livelihood as they provide sustainability through their milk, transportation, and a close friendship

  • People living in the Middle East and Northeast Africa having been living on camel milk for centuries.

  • Camel Milk has been used as a supplement to breast milk for babies

Today, millions of these people have had to leave not only their home but this cherished pastime and resettle in an unfamiliar country.

The Camel Milk Co. not only wants to provide this population with their beloved beverage but honor their culture by passing this life giving milk along to other cultures to love, enjoy, and fill up on its nutritional goodness.  Every bottle highlights the culture from which camel milk has derived.
